Vintage original map Russia Moskovia and Volga Bulgaria - 1650
- This is an extremely interesting map that shows the territories of Muscovy in 1650, but not only. On the map you will also find Volga Bulgaria in the territory of the then Russian Empire and today's Chuvashia and Tatarstan. The map is the work of the cartographer Nicolas Sanson (1600-1667) - a famous French geographer who worked in the royal court of Louis XIII and Louis XIV. The prints of his maps are by Melchior Tavernier. Naturally - the map is in French and is an amazing find for any history, geography and antique collector. Given its value, we've framed it, because framing is something that the Elephant team takes very seriously. The framing of each graphic is planned individually. We emphasize not only aesthetics in the front and back, but also security - metal ropes (on two levels, if necessary), various hanging options and table display. Each comes with a matching frame and/or passepartout. Funds in this direction are not spared. We like to say that with framing, we give your grandchildren peace of mind that they won't have to reframe the hand-assembled frames they buy from us, either for security or aesthetics.
