Vintage student badge of "First Sofia State Girls' High School Georgi Dimitrov" - 1950
- Once upon a time, or more precisely on November 18, 1879, the Sofia Girls' Teacher's Seminary was opened. Like almost every work in the era of the Bulgarian Renaissance, the beginning is difficult, but the desire for enlightenment is awake - with two classes of 30 students each and only 7 teachers. The educational institution is considered one of the best schools not only in the capital, but also in Bulgaria, and its "Fund for supporting poor schoolgirls" helps hundreds of girls to get an education. Thus began the history of the First Girls' High School, which today we know as "Seventh School".However, few people know that the building was built in 1933, and in 1950 it was renamed the Seventh Girls' Secondary School "Georgi Dimitrov". The badge you see in front of you is from those years. Each student proudly wore the badge on his lapel, and the face of the leader of the people - Georgi Dimitrov, strictly watched over the future generations of the proletariat.
