The main character of the film, an ordinary peasant Martin Borulja, decided to get a noble title. Having chosen a small and primitive goal, in pursuit of false values, he loses everything... The tragic is intertwined with the comic, and the unique Ukrainian humor and brilliant acting come to the fore in the film.
