Film poster "The Destiny of Women" (Germany) - 1952

  • Berlin, seven years after World War II. Four women suffer from happiness and a good man in a divided city. Their fates are loosely connected through one person: West Berlin dandy and womanizer Connie. Produced at the height of East German cultural and political dogmatism, the film was heavily criticized, especially by party leaders, who objected that the depiction of the four women did not represent the quality of women in the new society. Considered an extremely controversial work, "Women's Current" is an encore production by a creative team.

    The film was made in 1952 and the poster you see is from the original production. The poster is in good condition for its age, with preserved colors and lettering. It has been folded in half but could easily be framed so the folds don't show. The paper is thick and rough.
