In 1944, a group of young boys, yesterday's pupils and students, so-called "airman wars", are engaged in daily combat with the enemy. A minor episode about the "map of military action", the search for a hidden enemy airfield - becomes the plot basis of the film.
The film's military consultants are the famous pilots, Heroes of the Soviet Union, Major General A. A. Anpilov (1914-1994) and Colonel G. P. Evdokimov (1919-2014).
