Vintage poster "Flames in Florence" (Italy) - 1939

  • Benvenuto Cellini, after spending a long period working at the French court, returns to Florence to find out about the conditions of his widowed sister with six daughters. Few are the friends who have helped the family, except that the enemy of Ranuccio Bandinelli makes him an enemy in the court of the Medici. Cellini decided to create a large statue representing Perseus with the head of Medusa. He manages to get the order from the Medici and immediately asks for work, not suspecting that many of his enemies will try in every way to thwart the project. On a dark night during a terrible storm, the artist, assisted by several students and with the help of his six granddaughters, manages to melt the statuette, which will be the best example against all the difficulties encountered.

    Starring: Augusto di Giovanni, Elena Zareschi and others.

    The film was made in 1939 and the poster you see is from the original production. The poster is in good condition for its age, with preserved colors and lettering. It has been folded in half but could easily be framed so the folds don't show. The paper is thick and rough.
