- Diderich Hessling is afraid of everything and everyone. But as he grows older, he realizes that he must offer his services to the strong if he wants to rule power on his own. His life motto becomes: bow to those above and step on those below. In this way, he always succeeds - as a student in a dueling student fraternity and as a businessman in a paper mill. He tricked the obese administrative president of the region, Von Vulkov, and won his favor. He slanders his financial rivals and conspires with the Social Democrats in the city council. During his honeymoon with his wealthy wife Guste, he finally finds a chance to do his beloved Kaiser a favor. And when the Kaiser's monument was unveiled in the city where Diderich lives and works, he conveys the congratulatory address. He stands on the podium in the pouring rain and greets his Kaiser. Fischer and others.The film was made in 1951, but the poster you see is from 1953. The poster is in good condition for its age, with preserved colors and inscriptions. It was folded in the middle, but can be easily framed so that the folds are not visible. The paper is thick and rough.
