  • Vintage poster of the Bulgarian joint-stock company for above and underground constructions of Sofia station "Tsiklop" dated 1929.

    The company was the largest in the country during the Third Bulgarian Kingdom, but it was closed with the abolition of the monarchy in 1947. Founded by Nikola Dishkov and Hristo Shishkov in 1916, the company cooperates with the German company Ackermann & Co. in the construction of concrete and reinforced concrete structures.

    Tsiklop's business has achieved considerable success with projects such as Hotel Bulgaria, the buildings of the Courthouse in Sofia, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Bulgarian National Bank, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the northern and southern wings of Sofia University, the Pernik TPP and the bridge over Maritsa r. in Plovdiv. In the period of its existence, the company reported profits of BGN 16-25 million per year.

    This poster serves as proof of ownership of shares for BGN 5,000. Informs about the conditions of receiving the profits from the respective shares against the delivery of one of the annual coupons added below the certificate. Parallel to the Bulgarian text, a German translation has been added to its right.


    The extremely thick, rough poster paper is in excellent condition with the colors retaining their vibrancy. All drawings and inscriptions have also been preserved over time, and the company's hallmarks add to the originality.
