  • There is no way you can hear the abbreviation USSR and not think of metallurgy, Kremikov people, heavy industry, how steel is forged and pointless labor. Perhaps in the Soviet Union it was not quite such an illusion as it was in Bulgaria. Maybe they were actually producing something. Maybe it wasn't all winkels. Maybe... it's a little hard for us to believe.

    This poster shows the development of the metallurgical industry of the USSR during the seven-year period. On the poster itself, you can also find technical notes noting its dimensions and press instructions. It was printed by the General Committee of the BSD, and the circulation is not indicated. The style of the image is typical of the late 1950s, in this case the poster is from 1959.
