  • Based on the play of the same name by Konstantin Trenev. Film performance of the Leningrad Bolshoi Drama Theater named after M. Gorky, director of the play - Ivan Efremov.

    Years of civil war. In order to prevent the advancing White Guards from entering the city, the chairman of the revolutionary committee, Roman Koshkin, ordered the Zheglovsky Bridge to be blown up. White intelligence officer Mikhail Yarovoi, posing as Commissioner Vihar, interrupts this mission. The assassins have been detained. Koshkin and the members of the revolutionary committee went underground. Lieutenant Yarovoi accidentally meets his teacher wife, a collaborator of the Soviet government. Realizing that her husband has become a White Guard, Lyubov Yarovaya breaks up with him...
