  • A commemorative poster in memory of the writer Yordan Yovkov in the Pleven men's high school on the occasion of one year since the author's death.

    Yordan Yovkov was born in 1880 in the village of Zheravna, where he remained as a student. Then he moved to study in Kotel and graduated from high school in Sofia. One of the most beautifully descriptive authors of the Bulgarian way of life and village. He took part in the Balkan and Inter-Allied Wars, the First World War found him in Dobruja, and then he settled in Varna. His life was not easy and he spent his last years in creative work, until in 1937 he was diagnosed with cancer. The Village Writer passed away on October 15, 1937, and this poster marks the one year anniversary of his passing with recitals, music and tributes.
