- Choir "Kaval" is a Bulgarian male choir founded in 1927 on the initiative of the conductor Boyan Sokolov in Sofia. The choir is active to this day and performs concerts not only in Bulgaria, but also abroad.Until 1980, the choir's repertoire included 115 Bulgarian songs and 140 by foreign composers in a wide range of styles: pre-classical, classical, romanticism, opera choirs, religious chants, Bulgarian choral classics, contemporary composers.Before you stands a great antique poster from 1953, when the choir was conducted by Atanas Margaritov (1939 – 1948).
