    A contemporary reading of Ilya Repin and his unforgettable painting "Ivan the Terrible Kills His Son", which over the years caused a number of conflicts, was cut down, attacked, covered in paint and during most of its life was under restoration. But looking at this cartoon, the question we can't help but ask ourselves is - does today's emperor - Putin, feel the same pity, anger and helplessness that Ivan the Terrible felt while hysterically hugging the lifeless body of his son? Is anyone crying, raging and regretting today's Gruz 200?

    This is exactly what we see in this particularly direct caricature by the artist Hristo Komarnitsky - a happy Russian mother who pushes a pram in the shape of a tank and promises her child that when he grows up he will become a Muscovite. Not the tank, but her child. And the Kremlin sits in the background and waves a five-pointed star...
