Framed reproduction photograph of Queen Elizabeth The Second - photo by Baron - 1953 - framed

Price 649.90 lv. (€332.29)
  • Undoubtedly, Queen Elizabeth II is one of the most influential, erudite and iconic monarchs to rule not only her own country, but also a large part of the world. We can say a lot about her with sincere honor and respect, but we believe that this reproduction photograph speaks more than us.

The shot was taken in 1953 after the coronation ì and is the work of the photographer Baron. Who is he - let me tell you... Stirling Henry Naum (1906 – 5 September 1956), known professionally as Baron, was a public and court photographer in the United Kingdom. He was born into an English Italian Jewish family and had a career champion with his pictures of the Sadler's Wells Ballet Company. After the war he concentrated on portraits of society and celebrities.

He became a friend of Prince Philip and was appointed court photographer to the British royal family. So he took the official photographs for many occasions, such as Philip's wedding to Princess Elizabeth in 1947, the christening of their children Charles and Anne, and in 1953 Philip asked him to take official photographs at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, but the Queen mother prefers Prince Cecil Beaton...

The  reproduction photograph is framed and is in incredibly good condition.
