  • Barberism® is inspired by the hair tonics, colognes and pomades, mingled with tobacco smoke and work weary, honest sweat from old school Italian barbershops of Brooklyn where young Sid honed the skills of his trade.

Barberism® captures the essence of the man’s man, a classically influenced yet refreshing modern fragrance with soaring top notes of Lime & Orange, spiked by provocative Rose & Galbanum rising from an earthy Cedarwood, Patchouli & Musk base.

    Created for your pleasure.

    THE STORY OF BARBERISM®

Sid Sottung was raised in New York City, apprenticed to a traditional Italian Barbers in Brooklyn before working with Vidal Sassoon in downtown Manhattan.

Barberism®’s influences reflect Sid’s memories of his beloved father, Ronald, who worked on Hellcats at the Grumman Airplane factory on Long Island, New York.

The pin-up girl represents the sweethearts, once emblazoned on American aircraft doomed never to return from their fateful missions. There is, too, a whisper of Prohibition and speakeasies run by sharp suited mobsters dressed to kill.
