The diploma was issued on July 4, 1917 and was signed by the rector Atanas Ishirkov.Anastas Ishirkov is a scientist, geographer and ethnographer, university lecturer, public figure and donor, professor at Sofia University and academician at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Founder of geographical science in Bulgaria. 17th Rector of Sofia University (1915 – 1916) and three times Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology of Sofia University. During his time as rector of Sofia University, Bulgaria entered the First World War.The document has been preserved in particularly good condition.
