  • Arkady Raikin was born on October 11 (24), 1911 in Riga in a Jewish family. He is a Soviet pop, theater and film artist, theater director, artist, screenwriter, satirist. Hero of Socialist Labor (1981), People's Artist of the USSR (1968), laureate of the Lenin Prize (1980), recipient of the Order of Lenin (1981). His minis and performances stand out for their satirical edge, especially when compared to other pop artists of the new age, but at the same time they are always correct and intelligent.

    The poster is from 1957, you see it is from the original production of the Leningrad State Play Theater. The poster is in good condition for its age, with preserved colors and lettering. It has been folded in half but could easily be framed so the folds don't show. The paper is thick and rough.
