    Aragorn's Sword, Anduril, is the "reborn" legendary sword Narsil of Elendil. In the New Line Cinema adaptation of "The Return of the King", Anduril is reforged from the fragments of Narsil thanks to the elven master blacksmiths of Rivendell. Elrond describes the blade with the words: "The man who can wield this sword can gather an army mightier than any that walks the earth." On the blade is an inscription in the Quenya language, written in runes from Eregion, which reads: "I am Anduril, who was once Narsil - the sword of Elendil. May the enemies of Mordor shun me."
