To your attention, we offer issue 8-9 of Bulgarian newspaper “Naroden pastir”, which announces the death of not anybody but USSR’s generalissimus Joseph Stalin in 1953.
What is interesting, is that the newspaper was the work of the Priesthood’s Union. As you may know, the socialist regime didn’t allow religion to be part of people’s lives, which makes one wonder what the relationship between the newspaper and the reporting of Stalin’s death was.
This is a very intriguing item with historical value - a curious gift for every collector of vintage memorabilia and every historian.
Overall, the newspaper is well-preserved. Due to having been folded for a long time, there are some obvious folds and traces of tear and wear, but the contents remain intact.
