Maria is seduced by Akos, a poor landowner who is injured in the hospital because of a woman's affair and is recovering in a sanatorium. The girl will be Gabor's revenge. Then the war begins. Akos is at the front, Gabor and Maria are on duty in the hospital train. Akos boards the train badly injured.
