Illustration artist: Jean-Jacques Sempé Imagine the following: you are 7 years old and your mother is trying to drag you to a piano lesson. But if the piano teacher's apartment looks like the one shown in this puzzle's illustration, the tables could turn and you might be the one begging your mum to take you to the lesson.
The mastermind behind the December 2006 cover of The New Yorker is no other but Jean-Jacques Sempé - French cartoonist and children's book illustrator whose most famous work is the collaboration with René Goscinny on the Le petit Nicolas book. In his art, he demonstrates a strong affinity for cityscapes and rural landscapes, which can be observed in the image used for this puzzle. Each piece has a linen finish, which reduces the glare and allows you to see the details with maximum clarity.
